“No one tended our rooms during the stay - e.g. for replenishment of milk/tea/coffee or cleaning cups and towels etc and staff were hard to find and seemed clueless when we requested these things. We had to take our own rubbish to the bins. Otherwise, fantastic price, comfy beds, sea view and air conditioning (not sure if it works because we had no cause to use it). We were even called prior to checking in to ensure we were going to, which is good of them (was at the pub). Would stay again……

“Have just enjoyed a 3 night stay with a friend. Beautiful hotel in unique location in quiet South Sands beachy cove. Lots of ways to get to Salcombe town centre either walking (a bit hilly), hotel shuttle car or water ferry. Rooms have stunning decor and bathrooms are very well appointed. Service throughout the hotel is excellent and very friendly. Enjoyed both breakfast and dinner in the hotel restaurant. Good value & again great service throughout but with particular mention of lovely service……

“Great hosts, clean, tidy, great night’s sleep, parking right outside, loads of food and shops on same road. Breakfast was spot on with a great selection of hot and cold choices, definitely going back if I’m working in the area again.”

“Unfortunately my double bed was 2 singles put together which was uncomfortable for my partner and me. We were disappointed that there was a window over looking the bed that had no curtain or blind so the sun came in at 5 to wake us up. Another problem was why wouldn’t you give guests a hand towel? After washing your hands the only item available was toilet roll. ”

“Our room was quite large, the en-suite was a very good size. Rooms were clean, beds comfortable. Didn’t eat in the hotel, we will definately book again. ”

“Although going though some refurbishment the property feels tired and stuck in a different era. Room was, once we found it, clean and spacious, only issue the strong smell coming from the bathroom which was resolved quickly by running the taps for a while.”
