“It was a really nice room with good amenities - bottled water, good coffee and lovely smellies in the bathroom. The rooms are above a pub, so it was busy outside late at night, but the windows are double glazed and they provided us with ear plugs just in case (I dont need them). “We travelled to Sidmouth on the Sunday and arrived early. Reception advised that the room would be ready quite soon so we had a coffee and relaxed. The room was excellent with a walk in shower. The food was very good and we had dinner at the hotel on 2 nights. The only problem was it was quite a trek to our room but staff kindly transported our bags. Would recommend the Royal Glen for a seaside break as it close to amenities yet in a quiet location.”

Comfortable hotel
"Stayed here for 3 nights on this trip. A very comfortable stay with exceptional service. The air conditioner in the room stopped functioning, but the staff quickly took care of the matter as soon as we reported it and compensated us with many free drink vouchers; the manager got soaked in the process of fixing the air conditioning but continued to apologise to us for the inconvenience. The staff are very welcoming, and the environment is very relaxing. Will highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to visit Exeter.
Special thanks to the hotel manager and one of the hotel staff members for swiftly taking care of the air conditioner issue; despite ending up being wet in the process you both have handled the issue with grace and kindness."
