“Had a lovely one night stay, comfortable room and very nice bar with very friendly staff and a resident Cat :) . Food was very good and fantastic breakfast options. They also have an observatory at the back of the hotel if you want to experience Dark Sky astronomy, unfortunately cloud cover on our stay but would certainly go back. ”

“Holly bush is great. The evening meal was delicious proper Northumbrian fare. The staff were very attentive and couldn’t do enough for us. Our only negative was that the breakfast took ages to come out, but guess we got them on a bad day. ”

“I wanted a low budget one night stay. Although property is old fashioned, my single room, with en suite was very clean and bed was comfortable The breakfast cerea,l yogurt etc was an unexpected bonus. Kettle, microwave and fridge in room. Member of staff on arrival friendly and helpful. I couldn’t get the tv to find any chanels, but not there long enough to enquire about it. Could do with a chair, but overall exactly what i wanted Thank you”
