“The location is good. The room amenity are typical. What dissatisfied me was a $1 surcharge without a clarification. I wish there had been an explanation message. ”

“The Blackhawk is a vintage property by the Mississippi River. It has good amenities and is in a very walkable, quiet neighbourhood. Great beds and rooms are clean, however it's showing it's age and could use some updating. ”

“The hotel was very nostalgic and was like a trip back in time. Food was great and the staff was friendly. The elevator was very slow and there was no desk in the room, but that was part of the old time charm. Only real negative was the ice machine was noisy and my room was right next to it. I will stay there again.”

“Two couples on our 70's stayed for two nights in June. Communication was great, .with Diana andwering all of our detailed questions. Checkin was easy. The facility and setting was as described: clean, very well supplied and charming. Our favorite feature was the shaded patio overlooking the Shell Rock river. The deck above was not as impressive. A steakhouse and pub are witin easy walking distance. A walking path along the river leads to a nice park and war memorial. Some of us attended water……
