“We enjoyed our stay at Des Lux and will definitely be back next time we come through Des Moines. After completing RAGBRAI again we decided to treat ourselves and relax a bit before heading home. The whirlpool was amazing! Spacious and just the right temp. Lots of options for dining nearby. Be sure to stop by the bar and enjoy a cocktail with Sherry. ”

“This place was amazing! I loved the setting near the river. The listing was very accurate and the attention to detail was superb. They had things like Kleenex boxes strategically placed and a fly swatter; gentle seemingly small touches that made it feel more like a home. Their beach towels were SUPER HUGE and the clean and uncluttered reality of the space was wonderful. I loved the deck and the patio. The kayaking was superb. The owners were very friendly and understanding. We had a canoe seat……
