“Nice place with nice views. Comfy bed. Everything works. The trains going by and blasting their horns makes for an early morning. A bizarre thing we discovered when we got here is that all the restaurants in the area are cash only. No credit cards. Even many restaurants across the river in Prairie du Chein had a cash only notice posted on their doors.”

“The shower head did not work properly because water was continually running somewhere behind the wall causing very low pressure.”

“Lovely historical accommodation, surrounded by old trees and serenity. Personable and knowledgeable innkeeeper.”

“Everything was as it should be. Safe clean and with a friendly staff.”

“The staff were lovely and friendly. Breakfast was more hit and miss over the weekend. Cutlery out of a dispenser was very hygienic, but coming from the UK I could not get used to the lack of recycling and throwaway culture of breakfast. I would go back and stay, and for anyone going for graduation it is a good base.”

“Love staying here during the Nationals. They are always friendly and take care of us. The housekeeper always makes sure we have fresh towels and wash rags. The liquor store and cigar shop connected is a bonus.”
