“The Vine the oldest coaching inn in Staffordshire. We were given a warm welcome and allowed to check-in early as they had a room available. We were asked about breakfast and we needed information on gluten free items as my husband is Coeliac, they kindly provided a separate sheet with the options on. Although the building is old the room was clean and the large bed very comfortable. The bathroom was large and the shower adequate. The staff were friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome.”

“Lovely b&b. We stayed in the family room which was plenty big enough for 3. Comfy beds, plenty of pillows. Small issues but nothing major … no hook for blind to be able to keep it down to stop the sun coming through early morning, no BBC channels on the very small Tv, watch out for your head with the eaves and low beams! Beautiful gardens. Really nice full English breakfast. We also had the afternoon tea which was delicious, with homemade scones, jam, etc. ”

“Had a lovely nights stay - very comfortable bed, lovely size room with everything we could want. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, fresh fruits and lots of biscuit in the room which was extremely clean. Had a great welcoming from the owners on arrival with freshly baked flap jacks and lots of local knowledge shared. A book regarding the building was also an interesting read. “We really enjoy our stay at the hotel and we loved the pool and our room was spacious, clean and with comfy beds. The only down part is the breakfast which in my opinion it was poor quality food, fruit and juice. The breakfast selection was not appealing. But apart from this everything was amazing.”

“Stayed here as i was attending a conference at the same site, and the price was great, plus it included my evening meal and breakfast. Last year i stayed at another hotel further away, and meals had to be bought off-site, so this was a much better option for me this time. Really enjoyed my time here and will be back next year.”

“The room was fine. Money has obviously been spent on updating the hotel, maybe a bit more needs to be spent to improve things. For example, the bathroom had been upgraded, new bath, hand basin, shower; but the tiling and grouting had not been finished. Also the bath was very slippery so maybe provide a bath mat. Also, we were only provided with two bath towels, no hand towels or bath mat. As we only stayed one night, it wasn’t a problem but for longer stays, the additional towels would have been……
