“Had a lovely nights stay - very comfortable bed, lovely size room with everything we could want. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, fresh fruits and lots of biscuit in the room which was extremely clean. Had a great welcoming from the owners on arrival with freshly baked flap jacks and lots of local knowledge shared. A book regarding the building was also an interesting read. “We had a great stay at this historic hotel. Check in/check out was smooth. Great breakfast selection with hearty portion. Room is clean and bed is just the right firmness that you can wake up rejuvenated without backache. “Good buffet breakfast and good quality evening meals. Service in dining room variable - one night it was 45 minutes before food arrived. Much better on another night when Malik (?) was in charge. Little consideration for my wife who is on crutches as each morning we were directed to a table furthest from the door. Disappointing. ”
