“Tee was the best! He picked up a specialty cake for my wife’s bday and had happy bday written on the bed in fresh flower petals. He booked massages, reservations, and tickets for us!”
“The hotel is in centre of old quarter, very crowded and busy traffic. You have to pay attention to the motorbikes and cars around in such narrow street. Night markets and many restaurants are nearby. (But not accessible during weekend nights when roads are blocked for pedestrian zones) The hotel room is smaller than expected, and not soundproof. Anyone passed by / speaking outside will easily wake you up. Yet, I should give credit to the hotel staff especially they are very kind and polite and……
“The owner was very friendly. It reminded of Midwest hospitality and the rooms were basic but clean! I really appreciated how the owner was always asking if anything was needed etc. Felt very welcoming and the location was especially for tours.”
“OVERALL 10/10!!!. The hotel was really clean, cool feel to it. The staff was incredibly helpful, friendly and accommodating. This is truly a hidden gem and rare find. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great hotel, in the perfect location (both touristy and nightlife)
LOCATION: 10/10. My first time in Hanoi and this was the PERFECT place to stay. Centrally located in Old Quarters. Right behind Beer Street (far enough to avoid all the noise, close enough for the walk). 5-10 min walk to……
“The room they give us was no window. This is what we don't expect. We ended up to pay extra to upgrade a room with window. Despite this issue, we had a pleasant stay. ”
"We had a wonderful time staying at Grand Hotel du Lac Hanoi. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. It was a pleasant stay. We had a mocktail at the sky bar and it was very delicious. Forgot what it’s called but it has dragon fruit, mango with hibiscus tea. "
"We booked to stay here at the last minute and got a great deal online. Our check in was prompt and friendly and the room was clean with a balcony and good air con. We only stayed for one night but would happily have stayed longer, the roof terrace was great for a couple of happy hour beers and a tasty lunch. All staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was basic but adequate for the price! Overall a great value hotel and in a good location to explore Hanoi."

We had some issues in the bathtub and they are able to deal with it quickly and solve the problem."
