“We stayed in the brand new superior room. Very comfortable and they have made the best of a small area. ”

“Accomodation was larger than it looks in the photos, which was a nice surprise. The beds were comfortable, however I would take earplugs as I struggled to sleep due to the cars going past outside. I had to go and buy some from the town centre. At night the cars whizz past really fast. The listing states that there is free parking but this isn’t true- you have to pay for it. I have asked Hotels.com to amend this as it’s false advertising. The reason we booked this hotel was for the free……

“Lea Hurst is a fantastic place to stay , Quiet and secluded. The house is beautifully restored and the room was superb good views over the countryside,, Jen was a superb host and made us feel welcome in her home. Excellent breakfast and the canal path only 5 minutes walk through the garden. Good location for visiting all of the Peak District. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to return ”

“A five star hotel/B&B. Good location and amazingly quiet at night. Garden rooms were massive with separate lounge areas. Very well equipped and very clean and modern. The addition of a private patio with furniture is a special bonus. The staff were lovely. The restaurant was amazing with good choice and lovely presented food .. the full cooked breakfast can only be described as spectacular. Well recommended and hope to come back.”

“It's such a lovely spot and the room was spacious, super clean and with a view out to the lovely surrounding area. The bed was also very comfy and the pillow too, and this from someone who is princess and the pea with her pillows! I also got a really great rate for my one night stay.”

“We stayed here for 1 night whilst touring the peak district on our motorbikes. Plenty of parking and security cameras to ensure a good night's sleep. Our room was very comfortable and decorated to a high standard. The shower was big with great water pressure. We had an evening meal which we would rate as excellent, plenty of very friendly staff and a short wait for our food. Breakfast the next morning was plentiful and varied. We tried the Porky Hash which was huge! We would definitely……
