“This was the worst experience of my 5-day trip to Miami, and it was one of the most terrifying nights of my trip. The room was way too dark, even with all the lights on, it still felt dim. At 5 am, I was woken up by a loud, repetitive noise. It sounded like someone was using a key card to tap on a table or wall every 15 seconds. “This is a great, old school Miami hotel. I want to preface this by saying I had a wonderful stay, and if I am back in South Beach, these are the first people I am looking up. Since this hotel was probably 90 years old, some of the facilities are a little worn. The floor sags, there's a little bit of wear to the carpets, and they had a plastic tarp over a hole in the ceiling due to leakage. If that bothers you, go spend twice the price of your stay at the Marriott down the street. If you……

“Staff members were super friendly. Shower had wonderful water pressure. AC blew cold but leaked water onto carpet. Pool was out of commission for our stay (but notice was provided at time of booking.) And grounds are well maintained. Plenty of shopping and restaurants in vicinity. ”
