“Lovely hotel !! The service was excellent throughout and the room lovely. The food in the upper deck was fantastic and the drinks on the lawn were very enjoyable. Only small gripe was that the room was extremely hot and the wedding guests from the wedding that was also going on were very loud below the room so we could not open the window. Would definitely return”

“We came to Southampton the day before we left on a cruise. We stayed at this lovely hotel for one night and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. One word of warning, however, is there is no elevator in the hotel. We had to walk up four 10 star flights of steps to get to our room. But other than that, the stay was wonderful. The hotel is located in a very fun area of the city with numerous bars and restaurants on a closed off street with outdoor seating. It was a very lively area. We would definitely……

“Wonderful property! Beautiful bedroom - very clean - premium bedding. Delightful garden - huge with amazing wisteria which all enhanced our cream tea. Staff very helpful all over. Parking and unloading not the easiest. Breakfast was disappointing - practically cleared up buffet 20 minutes before end. Overall would absolutely recommend!”

“Lovely stay, pool was very cold but jacuzzi was good. Pool area generally needs a refresh. Good breakfast buffet, no cooked veggie options but may have been available to order but not clear anywhere. Room was ok, clean, overlooked courtyard which is very nice. Bar has a large gin selection but no aperol! ”

“Very nice property with many period features (it was a railway station originally). Staff were friendly and helpful. We know the fire alarm system works as it went off at 11.30PM (fortunately set off by steam from a shower not a fire). Only observation was that the breakfast seemed expensive didn't find out the quality as we went elsewhere.”

“Had a really nice time here... the property is wonderful.. newly refurbished it seemed to a high standard (my wife was impressed with the Elemis products !) . Spotlessly clean. Service was good, and the lounge area, conservatory and garden all add to the extra space.Service was friendly and efficient and a good breakfast. Location quiet and very near the sea. “Very friendly and welcoming - lovely property and attached gastro pub - Dog friendly too. The only thing is I did let them know it was my husbands birthday and nothing was done at the hotel, or the pub for dinner - a small token wouldn’t have hurt.”

“Hotel is in a perfect location and walkable to some excellent local restaurants. Spa facilities were really lovely. For the amount paid I did expect a better room and bathroom facilities as these were looking a bit tired. I was a little surprised to have to pay extra for any hot breakfast choices ( this was in our booking terms but I’d not read the details in full, my miss). The continental buffet was very fresh and well stocked. Whilst we enjoyed our stay I did expect a bit better quality room……
