“The hotel is absolutely beautiful. Spotless clean and the grounds are lush and beautiful. The big down side is the main pool,the water is so very cold. Considering the size of this pool and how pretty it is, hardly anyone swam in it, due to the cold temperature. It's an terrific waste, just to sit around it and not be able to take a dip. Many people dipped a toe in, and then just walked away.”

“We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful hotel. Everything available on site, but also very easy walking distance to Funchal centre. All of the staff were extremely helpful & friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The food was wonderful & breakfast was a delicious choice of fresh & cooked food. “Excellent hotel, great breakfast, nice outside area, great rooftop bar and the most caring hotel manager i have experienced in my whole life. I got an allergy reaction due to sun and i got personal calls, emails and a goodbye note to check during my whole stay if i was comfortabe and if there was anything the hotel could assist me with.
