“We liked everything about the property & surroundings. One annoying problem was sound of voices & doors closing outside our room in the corridor very late at night & very early in the morning.”

“Hotel is in a great central location. Unfortunately restaurant and bar closed early for the off-season, given mid-March. However local area still had lots of other eatery options, plus hotel was open for a breakfast. My room 5 was single in attic, but dormer window provided great view of bass rock, particularly at sunrise. ”

The only negative was the breakfast - service not welcoming and felt like they were in a panic or didn’t know what to do? More staff to support in the dining room may help. The buffet was never stocked with full choice, and the ordered food (pancakes and poached eggs) took ages and was not great. There was a lack of clean cutlery and glasses and the vacated tables were left for……

“Fabulous place in a great location, very quiet and safe area and plenty of car parking available overnight with restricted parking during the day. Accommodation was excellent and I will definitely use it again, kitchen was well stocked and the bed very comfy and overall the place was very well done out and clean. Communication with the host was very good additionally.”

“Superb grounds, lovely garden, comfortable room. Suggest they think about their dining room music as technobeat not favourite with the pensioner market!! One or two minor maintenance issues - basin pop up plug & escutcheon. Very helpful staff Really irritating experience with EVcharger— not hotel’s fault but part of the reason we chose it. Restaurant prides itself on good Scottish food : public health / short life span contribution could be to offer more included vegetables!!!”
