The screen door is torn, one of hooks to hold back the blackout curtains is still barely hanging on. (Was the same a year ago.) The fireplace is out of order. “We had a change of plans for our road trip and found this delightful B and B at the last minute. We were very pleasantly surprised; the property is beautiful architecturally, the hosts were really gracious and welcoming, and the breakfasts were wonderful. Murphy's is a little foodie haven with a bunch of local cellar doors open to the public, and historic goldrush era buildings in the surrounding villages. We didn't plan for tennis, but the hosts are both ex pros; so if tennis is your thing,……

“We stayed in the senior room. Other than lack of windows, the room was good. Bed was very comfortable. Walked to La Contenta club house for breakfast. Nice walk along the golf course and breakfast was excellent. ”
