“Took the wife to the parsonage hotel and spa for a valentine/birthday weekend get away and couldn’t be more happy with the service we received. The room was lovely and spacious not to mention cleaned to a high standard. The area where the hotel is situated is nice and quiet with very little noise. We will definitely be visiting again and can’t wait. ”

“Very lovely Hotel. Staff were attentive and seemed to really care. My room was lovely. My only gripe is that I was cold in the Dining room and my room wasn’t very warm. It was a very cold weekend so hope that this is a little bit unusual. On the whole s lovely few days in a very lovely town. 👍”

“This hotel is great and we couldn’t fault our stay until check out time..... we had already paid for the hotel prior to our stay yet we were asked to pay again for the room! Apparently the hotel has recently changed hands and there is some issue with the accounts transferring over so the hotel isn’t currently receiving the payments people are paying ( going to the old company). We politely explained that this was not our issue and we wouldn’t be paying for the room twice!! This just put a……

“Good: The hotel is well located and impressive in its public areas. All the staff are friendly and polite The breakfast is very good Not so good: The room itself was not too impressive. The room was stuffy, safe didn’t work, and the shower was a trickle. Overall location 10 out of 10 so if you are out and about exploring York all day and arriving/departing by train it would be good choice. If you want to relax in your room then I would recommend a different room category or another hotel. ”
