“Wir haben das Hotel als Unterkunft während unserer Wanderung auf dem Cleveland Way genutzt. Positiv aufgefallen ist uns die sehr gepflegte Außenanlage. Im Hotel selbst wird aktuell umgebaut. Uns hat das für unseren Aufenthalt von einer Nacht nicht gestört. Das Zimmer war tadellos, das Restaurant vom Raum sehr schön und das Frühstück überaus reichhaltig. ”

“Good: The hotel is well located and impressive in its public areas. All the staff are friendly and polite The breakfast is very good Not so good: The room itself was not too impressive. The room was stuffy, safe didn’t work, and the shower was a trickle. Overall location 10 out of 10 so if you are out and about exploring York all day and arriving/departing by train it would be good choice. If you want to relax in your room then I would recommend a different room category or another hotel. ”

“This is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed so far by hotel.com bookings! No customer service at all!!! We all had to wait so long for someone to come out of the front office for checking in! And they were not in mood of helping their customers, everything were turned down and ‘NO’! One of the guests had no choice but changed to Double-tree immediately after checked in! The frost desk simply doesn’t answer any calls fm rooms, they just said ‘will call u back’ and hanged up, but never called back.……

“Great stay in hotel. Room clean and comfortable. No complaints. Reception staff great, especially Chantelle. A big thank you for room change as my friend struggles with mobility and quickly changed room allocation no problem. Made a big difference. Thanks again 5 * service. ”

“Good location at the top of town. Could leave car parked and walk to seafront easily through the town centre. Was close to Stephen Joseph Theatre where we saw a show. Hotel is located in a quiet cul-de-sac. Wetherspoons just round the corner for breakfast. Rooms were comfortable but wish I'd spotted the blackout blind before I went bed.”
