“After a disappointing all-inclusive experience in Puerto Plata, Hotel Cocuyo in Samaná was an absolute Godsend. This place is truly one of a kind…understated, serene, and deeply special. Upon arrival, we parked and walked up to the hotel, where we stepped into a cozy lobby that felt more like a thoughtfully curated living room, books on the shelves, the soft glow of sunset in the background, the pool like glass, cocktail glasses clinking gently, and faint conversations in the air. “From the moment my wife and I arrived, we were treated like family. The resort is stunning and the property layout makes getting around a breeze. They had great dining options every night and we didn’t have one dinner that failed to meet or exceed our expectations. We spent 7-8 hours a day between the beach and Manatees bar with Eddy, Mildred, Marina, and Perfecto who were our favorite staff members and a blast to be around. But I can’t forgot our butler Yeudy who was there whenever we needed……
