“A very enjoyable stay. Staff were great and food excellent .
Coffee and tea availability quite poor in room. No instant coffee sachets, no choice other than expresso and insufficient milk .”
“Very friendly and welcoming - lovely property and attached gastro pub - Dog friendly too. The only thing is I did let them know it was my husbands birthday and nothing was done at the hotel, or the pub for dinner - a small token wouldn’t have hurt.”
“From arrival to departure Jonathan, Melissa and Magnus (The Dog) were the most wonderful hosts. We stayed in the Fat Badger Hut which was absolutely stunning, the bed was the cosiest thing ever and the room was well decorated.
Breakfast was delicious and filling. The little things including the beautifully lit garden with fairy lights and water features plus our hosts hospitality was unquestionably outstanding.
This was a truly perfect staycation. We will definitely be going back.

“A great overnight stay at Pinnacle following a hiking event on the Isle of Wight. Thank you for allowing me to get into the room before 3pm - it was very much appreciated following the hike!”
“This is quite THE best Bed and Breakfast we have stayed in and has resulted in this, our 2nd, visit. Standards throughout are exceptionally high and Fraser and Maria, the owners, are an absolute delight and make you feel so very welcome. We shall continue to recommend and most definitely return. Thank you from us both”
“OMG what a gem! I almost don’t want to share an opinion on the Villa Rothsay because I want to keep it for myself. Absolutely perfect in every way. But quirky and mysterious with amazing history. Our room was beautiful with seaview. We slept with the curtains open so as not to miss any waking moment. Margaret was welcoming and so knowledgeable. Breakfast was delicious. Local produce - no UPFs here - Villa Rothsay preserves. Just beautiful. We were fortunate to have been there for the first day……
“I treated my mom to a weekend away at New Forest last weekend and we stayed at Cottage Lodge Hotel - the room was amazing, super clean and fantastically maintained. The hosts were super sweet and kind. The breakfast was exceptional!! A lot of information for routes around the forest and information for the village and nearby towns. We both look forward to returning back - I really can’t recommend this place enough. We loved absolutely everything!”
“Right in the middle of the High Street so very convenient. Parking is 5 minutes walk. A traditional pub with rooms above. Our room was very compact and overlooked the storage yard which meant that, with the window open, there was noise from moving beer barrels around. It wasn’t very noisy but is probably not great if you want an early night and you’re a light sleeper. ”
“The greetings I had from staff when I arrived were totally amazing. So friendly and caring. I arrived 15 mins before they closed for lunch having driven nearly 3 hours and i ended up with the most delicious battered fish finger bagette. Salad, coleslaw abs chips. All for 8.95. Phenomenal.
The room and facilities were an absolute delight and i was so comfy and slept really well. Breakfast was delicious and a generous checkout time of 11am. A hidden gem of a lovely traditional pub and……
“We had a lovely stay with our two large dogs who were also very well looked after and catered for by the lovely landlords. Modern rooms, perfect size. Good walking distance of Lymington. We will definitely stay again thank you! ”
“Lovely property and friendly staff. Great location for New Forest walks. The only downside was that nobody in our large group had hot water the entire weekend.”
