“We had a fantastic stay at the Woodvale. The food was excellent and despite it being a very busy time (just a few days before Christmas so lots of big parties) we didn't wait too long for our meals. We had a lovely, en-suite family room with a sea view. There was a sofa and coffee table too which gave us another space to sit, rather than just the bed. Even though there was a busy bar downstairs, we couldn't hear anything upstairs in the bedroom. We weren't disturbed by any noise. A definite……

“The evening meal was was expensive but good. The wine prices were prohibitive. We only wanted glasses from the per glass list but bought a bottle which was good but the per glass price was obviously designed to make us do that. We dined elsewhere on the remaining two nights of our stay. Breakfast was excellent.”

“Everything first class. Staff very knowledgeable and helpful. Appreciated our luggage being taken to and from our room. Standard room very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Enjoyed using the coffee machine and appreciated the excellent breakfast tea and china teapot. Lovely biscuits and complimentary gin too. “OMG what a gem! I almost don’t want to share an opinion on the Villa Rothsay because I want to keep it for myself. Absolutely perfect in every way. But quirky and mysterious with amazing history. Our room was beautiful with seaview. We slept with the curtains open so as not to miss any waking moment. Margaret was welcoming and so knowledgeable. Breakfast was delicious. Local produce - no UPFs here - Villa Rothsay preserves. Just beautiful. We were fortunate to have been there for the first day……
