“Beautiful hotel. The room smelt amazing and was lovely and clean and comfortable. Excellent Air Con and faciilities. The waterfall shower was incredible. Highly recommend!”

“We have stayed at The Victory three times now, it is very convenient if you want to go out for food around West Mersea and don't want to worry about driving. Plus it is close to the seafront walk of West Mersea Beach. Rooms are very clean, plus you have the advantage that they are part of a pub, therefore the ability to step down for a drink or food at any point.”

From booking in you feel that you are being taken care off, being shown to your room, checking to make sure everything is all ok and too your liking, everyone involved makes for a pleasant stay. “Very friendly place, very busy in bar area but accommodation separate (& quiet 😊👍)… enjoyed looking round the bar area after breakfast next day, lots of interesting items/photos etc and nice to be away from the ‘corporate’ feel that most hotels seem to have these days. I’m sure we’ll be back.”

“It was a very nice place to stay at a reasonable cost. Ideal location near to Cooling Castle were able to walk back after the wedding well with a torch. Staff were all friendly. Would recommend.”
