“I took my 13yr old granddaughter away for 2nights ,the hotel was amazing very modern just what a teenager wonts ,we had a brilliant time the pool , jacuzzi& stream room where brilliant lovely and clean and very friendly couldn’t do enough for you. What’s her name?we give a big shout out to Zara who was on reception what a lovely kind & friendly lady she even gave us a free drink to take away with us overall it was outstanding ”

“A great hotel to stay in Hampshire. Lovely place with great gardens and outdoor areas. You can go for a walk and see the amazing gardens or play tennis or just relax by the outdoor pool if the weather permits. There is a small but very clean gym as well as an I door pool and you can enjoy the spa. Thou can have dinner at the restaurant or at bar lounge which has a great atmosphere. “Good: The decoration of the room is cozy and in good classic style There is a bar on the ground floor which is good Staff are nice and friendly Bad: Strong smell in the bathroom which is disgusting, we think that comes from the eroding wood The water boiler is not clean and there is even water remain inside Being asked for the room key after check out but believe their staff mixed things up (Wrong number tag on the key)”

“This is one of the nicest hotels I've stayed at, and I've stayed at a lot of hotels! We had such a lovely room that had the stream running past the window. The beds were super comfy and the room had lots of plug sockets which seems rare in hotels! It was a Greene King but the food was better than any I've been too and reasonably priced. Service was quite slow considering how quiet it was but the staff were very friendly. The pictures online don't do this place justice, a real hidden gem! ”

“Enjoyable food and ambiance. Pleasant location by river and interesting artifacts connected to the old mill. Quiet location for overnight accommodation away from the main building. Only slight problem was the pebbled area which made wheeling luggage a bit difficult.”

“The staff are fantastic and so friendly, making the stay really comfortable. However, the outdoor pool was quite dirty, including the loungers and the pool surfaces with bird poo and staining on the tiles. Also our room did not have air conditioning and it was extremely hot and uncomfortable to sleep the first night. After this we had fans on which the hotel supplied. We had a lovely stay despite the small issues. ”

“Although the room was compact it was very clean with lots of nice touches. Good value. The bed could do with a mattress topper. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was exceptional. Tasty, plentiful and nicely presented. Easy parking. Lots of country walks on the doorstep ”

“The Plough is in a very picturesque area and is also very conveniently situated and easy to get to. The room was comfortable and the pub itself had a friendly feel with an excellent menu. Beside quite a busy road but it was quiet at night. Would definitely stay again if I was in the area. ”
