“I liked everything about the place. We had a very nice room overlooking the park but only being spoiled by the strange characters who talked loud to early morning hours every night. Otherwise I have only a praise for the hotel.”

“Bela and Dave were exceptional hosts. They went above and beyond to make me comfortable. Dave made me omelets in the morning. Bela took me to a beautiful vista and tea factory on a rainy morning. It was magical to spend time with warm tea in a day like that and she offered to do this herself. The building is brand new, every detail is thought of. Its walkable to citi center and safe and quiet. I highly recommend it and will be back. ”

“A beautiful hotel with top notch staff that strive to ensure one wants for nothing - or if you do want, just ask. Restaurants were great. The fantastic free breakfasts really adds to the value. A beautiful lobby and bar (with pooltable!). We didn’t take advantage of the spa but loved spending time in the mineral bath inside their pineapple greenhouse! Great location -close to Ponta Delgado but far enough away, and central to the island. Highly recommend (fyi having been there I would def not……

“Everything about it was absolutely great. Our unit was spacious, clean and comfortable. The outside facilities as the pools, hot tub were perfect. The private garden couldn't be emphasized enough. What a privilege to stroll through your private forest, so well kept with a river running through it, absolutely magical. The owners are great, very helpful, attentive and super friendly. We will recommend Canto's to anyone we know coming to Sao Miguel.”
