“Beautiful, the views really make this hotel magical. Its tucked away so you need a car if you're going out for dinner, the ferry is about a 30 minute walk and up/down steep steps, and stops at 6:30pm. Drinks were outrageously priced.. £16.50 for a beer, a soft drink and two packets of crisps!! All is forgiven when you take in the sea though. The interiors are also beautiful. Breakfast overlooking the little cove was just the most incredible way to start the day, and it was delicious! ……

“Wonderful Escapism A treat away for my 50th birthday. Exceptional service throughout our stay from bar and restaurant staff, through to the lovely cleaning ladies. Made my stay very special, fabulous food both at the Pilchard Inn and the black tie dinner. Any little issues were dealt with straight away and am already looking for an excuse to go back again, oh and you must brave it and take a swim in the mermaid pool.”

“The Anchor Inn is a little scruffy from the outside but don't let that put you off as the welcome inside is warm and genuine. The barman was charming and the locals and fellow residents all engaged in conversation. It's the type of establishment where everyone talks to each other and the dogs are fed treats.
