“The room was very nice and quiet. The staff was very friendly. The smoking room is right off the lobby. The smoke is not contained at all. The lobby and gift shop were overwhelming. If you have any sensitivity to it you will find it a problem to breathe as I did. The wait staff in the restaurant was amazing. “Just a heads up that this B&B is actually a 25 minute drive outside of Durango. That was definitely an unexpected wrinkle in our plans. They don’t serve breakfast until 8am, and if you are riding the Durango to Silverton Railroad, you have to be AT the train station by 8:30, and that’s after you drive 25 minutes to get there, wait 5-10 minutes in line to get into their all day parking lot, and then walk to the station. That issue caused us to have to skip breakfast altogether. Bummed for sure.……

“This hotel has a very nice view and is a great choice for shooting or watching the stars. Their service staff is very friendly and will assist you very well with things to do at the top of the mountain to fix inconveniences. The rooms are slightly smaller than similarly priced hotels, but I think the starry sky at night definitely makes up for it, and the balcony on the side of the house offers a great starry sky experience. “Staff were very friendly on arrival. Informal and relaxed with some good conversation! I'm not from the USA and the owner here was a great ambassador to Colarado. Room was cozy (no pun intended) with very comfortable beds and all the facilities you could ever need. The place was clean and presentable, no faults as far as I could see. 10/10 would stay again! ”
