“It was a sweet little room, with small balcony to front over looking some greenery. Bed was soft, plenty of sockets and WiFi and lighting. Wasn’t much noise when we stayed so slept well. The only issue was the smell coming from the en-suite which wasn’t very nice for the price that was charged . Was close to shops and Brighton centre where we were watching a comedy show.”

“More shabby than chic, I nevertheless soon became quite enamoured of my humble little room on the first floor. These prices were often a third of the travelodge. Is Schmotel three times worse than travelodge? No it’s a different thing. I was therefore pleased that there were no ghosts or Frankensteins and no poo on the wall or ceiling, and nobody with loud and evil intent anywhere in the seven blessed rooms. ”
