“Staff, food, wine, accommodation all excellent. Very individual customer focused. Well worth the cost. Could do with some renovations which are likely to follow (broken uneven paving) otherwise nicely maintained. A relaxed stay. Perhaps breakfast quality could improve a shade and bath with shower over a bit basic for this pitch. But overall great. ”

“The service was excellent, and the food in the restaurant was fine. The bathrooms in the rooms could use a refresh, and while the rooms aren't as soundproof as advertised, they are still fairly quiet. The bed was very comfortable.”

“Upon arrival I was met with a friendly greeting by a member of staff who showed me to my room and provided a full explanation of the facilities. I then went to the bar where I was offered a table in the restaurant. I ordered my dinner, which was delicious. The three bar staff, two woman and a man, were friendly, polite and attentive. “This is one of the nicest hotels I've stayed at, and I've stayed at a lot of hotels! We had such a lovely room that had the stream running past the window. The beds were super comfy and the room had lots of plug sockets which seems rare in hotels! It was a Greene King but the food was better than any I've been too and reasonably priced. Service was quite slow considering how quiet it was but the staff were very friendly. The pictures online don't do this place justice, a real hidden gem! ”

“My wife & I decided we needed a "just the two of us" getaway, & this establishment flashed up as a great deal for our time-frame. it's easy to reach off the M4, which was great, & even on a Friday evening it wasn't a bark to get to even though we were expecting commuter traffic. We were quickly checked in & allocated our room (#8, ground floor rear of the court yard, nearest the car park!). We weren't at all disappointed with the quality, size & comfort of this recently decorated haven. Lovely……
