“The FMI enjoys a very convenient location in the French quarter at a generally affordable price. The architecture style is french with big windows and lovely courtyard quiet in a short distance away from the hustling streets outside. The manager and frontdesk people are all very nice dealing with unexpected situation in a very prompt manner. There is cable TV in the room. The AC works very well. The window view is pleasant.”

The location couldn’t be better, right in the heart of the French Quarter, making it easy to walk to restaurants, shops, and music spots. “I want to discourage everyone from staying at the Royal Frenchman… in order to keep this place to myself! Don’t stay here if want a modern hotel, with many modern amenities, lacking in character and charm. Don’t stay if colorful staff with a passion for the music of New Orleans ( which they bring nightly to the hotel lobby or courtyard) is not your thing. Don’t stay if listening to music wafting in from Frenchman street late into the night seems annoying. But you have a passion for the people,……

“We booked a last minute weekend stay here after our original flight was cancelled. The staff was beyond friendly and the location was wonderful.. about 2 blocks from the French Market, close enough to the action but not so close that you were up all night. We got to watch a couple parades go by (wedding, protest, and a just because parade lol) the courtyard and pool area are very cute. The building itself is older, as are most buildings in the heart of the French Quarter so the rooms were on……

“Check-in and everything during the stay was easy. Hotel has a great vibe and handy location. I imagine some of the rooms by the street might have been a little noisy, but we had no issues during our stay over a weekend. We had a car and parking was easy, and not too expensive in the lot on the same block as the hotel. ”
