“I stayed at the Royal Frenchmen Hotel and Bar with my dad during a last-minute trip to New Orleans. We booked an ADA room, which was affordable and met our needs after his knee replacement. Overall, the stay was decent—not terrible, but not the best either. The location is great if you love nightlife and jazz—right on the edge of lively Frenchmen Street, with live music both outside and inside the hotel. However, the nightly jazz performances make it difficult for light sleepers to get a full……

“Room cleaning every other day sometimes without changing washcloths. Laundry machines were about 80% inoperable as were the dryers. They were located on the 14th floor but if you needed detergent and softener you had to go down to the front desk on the first floor. ”

“I was sceptical at first because there were reviews about it being in a rough neighbourhood , however, that is not the case it is right beside the medical school and veterans hospital. It is a 5 minute walk to the canal street car, taking less than 15 minutes to get to the French Quarter. We had no issue walking to and from the place at night. Very clean, very quiet and amazing for the price. I would recommend this to anyone looking to have a nice place to stay and I quiet place to sleep. ”

“The Hotel is charming and historic, with an excellent location! I enjoyed being far enough away from Bourbon street that I wasn’t disturbed by the constant noise, while still being in the French Quarter itself.”

“The area was great; convenient to everything. The only downfall was that there was no refrigerator in the room. We stayed street side and there was nowhere to sit except on the stoop. Other than that, it was awesome. We enjoyed our stay. ”
