“Very clean. Comfortable. Had a strong, odd chemical odor in the room (cleaners? new materials?). Got used to it but it concerns me that we were breathing that in. Desk staff friendly and very helpful. Breakfast—no hot food. All cold but toasters available, all bananas were green. Cannot give 5 stars because of odor and because the housekeeping staff was ANNOYING!! They knocked and came into the room before we could get to the door by 9:00 am. WHAT ON EARTH??? “The staff was thoughtful and accommodating. We checked in late (10:30 pm.) The desk clerk changed our room because there was a large group of children staying in the room directly over our original room. I appreciated the thoughtfulness as we were tired from traveling and had more driving to do the next day. We needed our rest. Thank you!”

"The Tidal Basin is just across the street from the hotel, and the hotel has its own private bridge across the street to the Tidal Basin, which is in a great location to view the cherry blossoms at the Tidal Basin and go to the National Mall. The service staff is very friendly, and the hotel is tastefully decorated, clean and warm. The room is large and overlooks the Tidal Basin from the window.We came to see the cherry blossoms this time with my elderly mother. The hotel is very conveniently located for my mother in a wheelchair to visit the Tidal Basin."
