“We spent two nights at the White Star Tavern hotel. The rooms are lovely and quite luxurious. The breakfast was excellent. The only issue we had was a small dog lives in a small apartment at the back of the hotel. When we went out to the rooftop garden it bit my foot and ripped my husband's shoes. ”

“Spent a lovely few days at the Woodlands hotel with a friend and our two dogs. Staff were very friendly and the rooms were nice. If you are looking to take a dog with you it's a great choice. They have a lovely big safe garden, with a gate leading straight out to the forest. There is a bar area where you are allowed to have your dog with you during breakfast and dinner and the food is very good. If you are not a doggy person, there is a separate dining room, so you don't have eat with dogs……

“Staff are worth their weight in gold and the Canford boasts some heavy weights. Take a walk along the nearby promenade and take in the surrounding area and its wealthy residents. Food at breakfast and dinner was superb. This establishment like so many other places is a dog friendly hotel and bar. On a damp day, your nose will remind you. I tried to plug in my firestick at the back of the telly but was put off by the avalanche of dust. Bathroom window is losing the fight against the ivy growing……

Service was good, and the lounge area, conservatory and garden all add to the extra space.Service was friendly and efficient and a good breakfast. Location quiet and very near the sea.
