“This hotel was a lovely place to stay. Tucked away in a quiet location within its own grounds, yet close to the centre of Fleet. There was a warm, cosy atmosphere and the staff were very helpful. Both the bar menu and the restaurant menu were good value, nicely presented and very tasty. Our room was equipped with all the necessary supplies and the bed was very comfortable. The only slight disappointment was that we could hear snoring from the neighbouring room. However that did not disturb us……

“I was attending a 70th birthday celebrations in the area and I decided to stay the night at the Lakeside International to make a weekend of it. The hotel itself is very unusual. The prevailing style is late 1960s / early 1970s, which you don’t see so often these days. It is nicely situated by a large lake and I imagine that it must really come into its own in the summer. My double room was a good size, very clean and very comfortable. I got the impression that it must have been refurbished……
