“Sarah’s place was perfect - perfectly located away from the hubbub of touristy Kailua-Kona but certainly close enough (if you have a car) to get anywhere (diving with manta rays anyone?). Her place was beautifully appointed for two adult couple - two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Comfortable living room area with a fancy aquarium set up in the wall unit. The kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed. Probably a highlight were the front deck seating area PLUS a back deck seating……

“Awesome place to stay when in Hilo. Has everything you need to keep everyone entertained even when you are at the property. Billiards, dart board and basketball hoop kept the kids busy. Also, had bikes to ride to go to the beach nearby and tour the neighborhood. But the best thing about this place was that you can try the fruits from the trees in the backyard. When we lost power for a short time they immediately reached out to us to keep us informed. If I’m ever back on the big island again I will definitely stay here again. “Easily the best VRBO experience we've ever had. The property is super clean and well equipped; the rate is reasonable for Hawaii and less than 10 minutes from shopping in Kona. Steve, the host, could not have been more gracious and helpful.The grounds are like something out of a botanical garden, with a view of the ocean beyond Kona and spectacular sunsets. “We enjoyed our stay here. It was a great home base for exploring Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and other sights on the Big Island. The kitchen is well stocked and the beds are comfy. We walked to the ocean in the morning for great views of the coast and spent a lot of time on the screened porch enjoying the trees and flowers in the yard. They even grow their own pineapples!
