“this is a stand alone home - very hawaiin style. super nice to be right on the water. short walk to a cute little beach. it is a little outdated but was fine for us. town was a couple mile walk. the complete package would have been able to walk to town. again, it was fine for us. we were driving anyways for adventures. ”

“The Lanai and Bedroom was a good overnight stay. Clean and exactly what we were looking for. Location was not great. But we knew that when we booked. We did find a great restaurant in Pahoa Village. About a 5 minute drive from the property. ”

“Had a great 4-night stay here. Super easy to find and convenient location near beach, and plenty of options for food and shopping. Recommend shopping and cooking in unit—the bbq was great to have! Unit includes lots of towels, beach gear, etc which was really nice to have.Overall 5/5. A few small things to note. Carpets in the main room are like ratan and very tough on the feet. Tile and bedrooms were great. The starter on the bbq didn’t work so we had to use matches. And several of the boogie……

“It's obvious Sue and Chad put time and effort in making the house and grounds beautiful. The house was equipped with everything we needed to cook, and just relax and enjoy the surroundings. All you hear are the birds and crashing waves, no road sounds. I spent every possible minute outside. It was also a treat to visit with Sue, she knows a wealth of information on the area and is just plain fun! With any luck, we'll be back again!”

“The unit is located about 15 minutes drive out from the center of Hilo and the bay, up the hillsides in a quiet neighborhood that achieved an almost rural feeling, as if at the edge of the countryside. It is seemed quite spacious, had beautiful light morning and afternoon / evening, and was nicely furnished. The shower and bathroom were terrific. Its air conditioning worked well. “This property was perfect for our family vacation. 10 people stayed 9 nights at the house. The house, pool, hot tub, yard, and waterfront views was amazing, even better than we expected. We ate majority of our meals at the house as the views were better that any restaurant or any luaus. The house, pool, and yards are very well maintained. Everything was clean, well-organized, and easy to use. The house is in a great location. Several beaches & shopping nearby, but the location……
