“I treated my mom to a weekend away at New Forest last weekend and we stayed at Cottage Lodge Hotel - the room was amazing, super clean and fantastically maintained. The hosts were super sweet and kind. The breakfast was exceptional!! A lot of information for routes around the forest and information for the village and nearby towns. We both look forward to returning back - I really can’t recommend this place enough. We loved absolutely everything!”

“Spent a lovely few days at the Woodlands hotel with a friend and our two dogs. Staff were very friendly and the rooms were nice. If you are looking to take a dog with you it's a great choice. They have a lovely big safe garden, with a gate leading straight out to the forest. There is a bar area where you are allowed to have your dog with you during breakfast and dinner and the food is very good. If you are not a doggy person, there is a separate dining room, so you don't have eat with dogs……

“Very friendly and welcoming - lovely property and attached gastro pub - Dog friendly too. The only thing is I did let them know it was my husbands birthday and nothing was done at the hotel, or the pub for dinner - a small token wouldn’t have hurt.”

“Wow stayed the night before our cruise, the hotel looks nautical, loved the balcony looking over the yachts. Stunning.”

“The hotel is very close to the shopping mall. Travelers can book a taxi in the reception to the cruise terminal. It costs about 15 pounds per trip.”

“Really comfortable rooms especially the bed. I travel a lot for work and this is one of the most comfortable beds I have found in a hotel. Nice location in the New Forest. Food was great although I did not get to try the breakfast as it did not start until 8.30 which is a bit too late for a business traveller.”

“Comfortable, clean, large rooms with sizable en suite, fresh attractive decoration. Perfectly located 10min walk into the town with a choice of restaurants and walks.”

“Very nice breakfast and dinner services. Very warm room, good Wi-Fi services in the hotel.”

“Quaint cottage and staff were polite. The room we stayed in was nice and bright. There was a very bad damp problem in the en suite especially above the shower, not just on the ceiling but the shower sealant was all black and the bottom of the shower door had not even been cleaned of all the mould. The shower was very powerful and water hot. Skirting of the bedroom was missing exposing the gap between floor and ceiling. Although there was radiator heating the thermostat was loose and difficult……

“The Room was good and included a Nespresso Coffee machine and good quality teabags. I especially liked the large Bath sheets. Above all the staff were all very helpful and welcoming. The side of the property which is on a main road looked a little uninviting.Unfortunately the traffic causes dirt to splash up onto the windows.Overall I would recommend the Cromwell Arms.”
