“We love the hotel because it’s got the friendliest staff. Always a happy smile to greet you. The foods great especially the lamb!”

“The room is on the 2nd floor , it is too small for a family, no table , no teeth brush , no hairdryer and shower gel provided . The stairs are too steep, quite dangerous if you have baby with you. My friend lived on 1 st floor , there is no bathroom inside the room, shared bathroom is outside, they didn’t realize that when they booked the room. ”

“The location is not good, far away from the city center. The room is not very clean. The staff will not let you feel welcome. The car park is not on site the hotel, need to walk to the public car parking , walk 5-7 mins. I will not stay at this hotel again. ”

“Our experience at this hotel was excellent. The lady assisting us to check in was very nice. She showed us around the hotel facilities and gave my kids swimming toys. The room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel had three swimming pool, one indoor and two outdoor. My kids really enjoyed the pool. In addition, the included breakfast was delicious. This hotel definitely deserves that we come back.”

“Absolutely loved this place. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome and wanted. The position of High Corner is fantastic and that’s not really doing it justice! The staff, all of them, were polite, welcoming, helpful and a credit to the pub. The rooms we had were lovely although one was a little small due to being upstairs, however this did not detract from my stay as I had it all to myself! Food, especially breakfast was very good. “Great hotel. Have been coming for years for an annual birthday night out with a group of friends. Guy at reception was very friendly, especially as we were concerned we may not be able to park there as no space, but did manage to in the end. Hotel is great...not the most modern, no, but homely and rooms have always been spacious, clean and welcoming. The bar/club is great for a night out. Would definitely recommend. Very close to town centre and beach too. Well done Royal Exeter!”

“Really lovely stay at the hotel. Family of 5, with 3 children 5 and under and we felt very welcome. Perfect for a visit to Peppa Pig only 10 mins away. The staff were great. Really welcoming and no issue with the noise that children bring. Dinner was lovely. Although pub grub it was really tasty. Family room was very big. Although a little tired looking was absolutely fine for our stay. Would definitly recommend and would stay again. Only downside. The outside area would really benefit……
