“The George Inn was an excellent choice for our first night in England, due to its proximity to Stonehenge and the reasonable cost. All staff were attentive and helpful. We enjoyed a late afternoon walk on the country lanes of Middle Wallop. I want to mention a few things that did not bother us but may matter to other potential guests: - Room ("the family room"): because it was directly above the pub, we could hear music clearly through the floor until the pub closed. “The Room was good and included a Nespresso Coffee machine and good quality teabags. I especially liked the large Bath sheets. Above all the staff were all very helpful and welcoming. The side of the property which is on a main road looked a little uninviting.Unfortunately the traffic causes dirt to splash up onto the windows.Overall I would recommend the Cromwell Arms.”
