If you want music and midnight eats, Frenchmen Street is just a few blocks away. Be sure to open the little yellow book for recommendations and information about one of the USA’s best cities. Bring a power strip for easier charging of your devices. That said, I really can’t imagine staying anywhere else. ”

“Loved this hotel, have stayed at many different hotels in new orleans and around the french quarter. This one was just perfect. Easy to get to down Royale street off esplanade. The parking convenience was great. Literally 50yards from jackson square and 1 block from bourban st. This will be my spot to stay from now on when we visit new orleans. 10 out of 10. Staff was very wonderful aswell. ”

“The FMI enjoys a very convenient location in the French quarter at a generally affordable price. The architecture style is french with big windows and lovely courtyard quiet in a short distance away from the hustling streets outside. The manager and frontdesk people are all very nice dealing with unexpected situation in a very prompt manner. There is cable TV in the room. The AC works very well. The window view is pleasant.”

“I stayed at the Royal Frenchmen Hotel and Bar with my dad during a last-minute trip to New Orleans. We booked an ADA room, which was affordable and met our needs after his knee replacement. Overall, the stay was decent—not terrible, but not the best either. The location is great if you love nightlife and jazz—right on the edge of lively Frenchmen Street, with live music both outside and inside the hotel. However, the nightly jazz performances make it difficult for light sleepers to get a full……

“Better than I expected for the price. Location couldn’t be any better and was $400 less than the Hampton Inn a couple blocks away. There is a train that comes thru at 4:30am but if you plan your late night jazzfest shows properly, you’ll be coming home after the train comes by…. lol ”
