“Hotel Heron has a wonderful location in Old Town Alexandria! The hotel is clean, and staff are friendly and helpful. Views from the rooftop lounge are spectacular. The Metro station is a mile walk down King Street, and the entire area is walkable and close to dining, shopping, and a myriad of historic buildings. I would stay here again!”

"The Tidal Basin is just across the street from the hotel, and the hotel has its own private bridge across the street to the Tidal Basin, which is in a great location to view the cherry blossoms at the Tidal Basin and go to the National Mall. The service staff is very friendly, and the hotel is tastefully decorated, clean and warm. The room is large and overlooks the Tidal Basin from the window.We came to see the cherry blossoms this time with my elderly mother. The hotel is very conveniently located for my mother in a wheelchair to visit the Tidal Basin."
