“I stayed at the Royal Frenchmen Hotel and Bar with my dad during a last-minute trip to New Orleans. We booked an ADA room, which was affordable and met our needs after his knee replacement. Overall, the stay was decent—not terrible, but not the best either. The location is great if you love nightlife and jazz—right on the edge of lively Frenchmen Street, with live music both outside and inside the hotel. “The property was in a good location for us as it was on the edge of the French Quarter and away from a lot of the action. It was next to a stop for the red streetcar which was very handy when it was working. Employees were very nice and accommodating. Property had garage parking which was great. “I would say my rating be 8 out of 10. No existence of elevator is -1. I would like one more chair to be equipped in that spacious room, which would be another-1. “This hotel is all about location. walking distance to everything you want to experience about French Quarter.--- Fresh Market, Frenchmen Street (which I loved- music, dancing, great restaurants). Bourbon Street (not so much- unless you're one of the young, obnoxious drunks), I would say this hotel would be a gem if the rooms were updated. a little paint and caulk would go a long way. “The area was great; convenient to everything. The only downfall was that there was no refrigerator in the room. We stayed street side and there was nowhere to sit except on the stoop. Other than that, it was awesome. We enjoyed our stay. ”

“The property is in a truly old home, but they have done a great job to update it and make it comfortable. It has the feel of a hostel, but definitely higher quality than your average hostel.
